ActionAid International The Gambia has secured funding from the Corti Foundation in Italy to implement a project titled: Protective Services and Economic Alternatives to Potential Young People and Returnees, in partnership with ActionAid Italy, at a cost of €398,232.
Project launch in LRP 8
The project is intended to improve access to alternative incomes, increase awareness on migration-related risks and rights, food security and the illegal transit of migrants in The Gambia and Senegal.
In the Gambia, the Project will quip the community demonstration farm in Dalaba Village, CRR by supporting the demo farm with farm input and equipment (refrigerated van, refrigerators, agricultural toolset, borehole, chick and feeds) for the development of agricultural activities to empower young people with skills to address the issue of rural urban migration as well as irregular migration through the Mediterranean Sea.

The project will equip the demonstration farm in Dalaba with farm implements and other equipment such as refrigerated van, refrigerators, agricultural toolset, borehole, for the development of agricultural activities to empower young people in Niamina East.
