ESTABLISHING MULTI STAHEHOLDER PLATFORM (MSP) TO INTENSIFY THE WOMEN’S LAND RIGHTS CAMPAIGN

ACTIONAID INERNATIONAL THE GAMBIA in Partnership with BIOVERSITY INTERNATIONAL (BI) and the ROOTS PROJECT are establishing an MSP to strengthen the efforts on Women’s Land Rights Campaign. Following the Regional Consultation Meetings that identified the pilot Districts, five District Consultation Meetings were held. These district meetings helped to map out the villages and the Campaign Team Leads. The Districts identified were Lower Badibou in the North Bank Region, Niani in Central River Region North, Tumana in Upper River Region, Lower Fuladou in Central River Region South, and Jarra East in Lower River Region. The district consultation meetings drawn participants from chiefs, Alkalolu, and the Rural Assembly Members. All expressed optimistic of successful campaigns.  The Campaign Team Leads will be trained on Advocacy and Lobbying before the campaign starts.
